The annual meeting of the German-speaking members of the lawyers’ organisation AIJA<\/a> took place in January 2014 in Vienna. The purpose of this meeting was to teach the basics of financing law firms to those who are not yet or just about to become partners of law firms. This is all the more important because most partners of law firms admit that they have no idea about the actual economic conditions of a law firm when they join. This is not helpful either for negotiating entry conditions or for assuming management responsibility in law firms. Therefore, Christoph H.
